Stairs and doors.

A new client wanted some help making over her new home. The original stair handrail seemed to be homemade and fully panelled.

So, with a little persuasion, the old handrail was removed ready for the replacement.

The solid panel doors were a similar colour so had to go!

Here is a little tool I knocked up after managing to lock myself in a room just after fitting the new latch but just before fitting the handles!

And just to finish, this is one of my favourite tools. I found it at a car boot sale. It is a Starrett square with a blade marked in imperial units. Engraved on the blade is ‘H. E. Smart’, I have no idea who he was, but I hope he would be pleased that this was still being used…..
