Local handyman services for Cambridge and the surrounding villages.
Hi, I have been providing local handyman services in and around Cambridge for many years. I offer a professional and reliable handyman service taking care of all those unfinished jobs around your home.
With everyone being so busy, it sometimes seems impossible to get those jobs around the house done. Do you really want to spend your evenings and weekends on DIY?
Well to be honest, I love my job supplying handyman services in my community! I really enjoy the sheer variety of work my clients ask me to complete for them. If you are facing a list of jobs that seem beyond you and you just don’t seem to get around to sorting out, then why don’t you give me a call?
I carry with me all the materials, fixings and parts I will need to finish off all those jobs around your home. I can do simple electrical work changing light fittings, switches and sockets. For any bigger projects, I work closely with my friend who is a fully qualified electrician.
I can replace kitchen worktops, repair drawers and doors, fit splashbacks etc. In the bathroom, I can sort out the flush on your toilet or that dripping tap.
Contact me for kitchen and bathroom projects.
Out in the garden
If you have a garden deck that needs a tidy up, I have the tools and experience to create a beautiful area for a sunny coffee. Do you have a shed that needs a new roof or some TLC? I regularly do this kind of work to the complete satisfaction of my clients.
Perhaps you are thinking of a new garden deck with a contemporary feel. I have loads of experience of building decks using composite materials. With these products you can go to a new level with colours and styles not possible with timber. Take a look at examples of decking projects I have designed and built for previous clients.
Are you looking for more office space in your garden, give me a ring to discuss how I can create a garden office or quiet space for contemplation and hobbies. I have delighted a number of clients with a new space in their gardens for working at home or having a quiet place away from the chaos of the house.
Interested in a garden space for work or hobbies? Contact me to discuss the possibilities.
Give me your list of jobs and then one-by-one, I will sort them out. I will simply make the problem go away. it really can be that easy. To get your work done, I carry all the bits and pieces I will need, so all you need to do is let me loose on your job list.
I have a full DBS check so you can feel safe in your home and there is no payment until you are delighted with my work. Call me or send a WhatsApp message and we can agree on a date and time that works for us both.

Feedback on my local handyman service
As well as amazing feedback from my clients………
Excellent service provided by Simon, he’s a really nice man and his work is top quality. Would definitely recommend him to family and friends.
Simon provided an excellent service – his communication was good, he arrived on time and was confident and cheerful with the job from the off. Within half an hour he’d done a great job of hanging a decorative rug in our stairwell and he was pleasant company throughout. Would definitely use again and recommend to friends and family.
Great service – responded immediately to our initial query and sorted our repair quickly and neatly. Recommended to friends and family.
…… I am so pleased to be elected to the Three Best Rated Handyman in Cambridge.
(I work hard to maintain the quality of the work I complete for all my clients.)
What a nice surprise…..! More feedback
This morning, I found this unexpected feedback sent to me from a recent regular client. He wanted a loft access creating into an area of his house roof space that wasn’t currently accessible. This needed some understanding of how the property had been built. The property was over 600 years old and includes a roof made of timbers taken from a tree still with the bark attached! It was fun to think that original builders would have been the last people to touch these timbers. After creating an opening and a framework, I then added a finish trim for a neat access into the roof space.
Anyway, this is what my client had to say…
‘Hi Simon, thanks for your work on Friday. I take my hat off to you for the way you make it all seem so easy and you do it so quickly! I hope the afternoon went well for you, all our best. David‘
