Privacy Statement

Who I am

I am the Cambridge Property Doctor, as a sole trader, I am not registered as a limited company. I trade from 1 Twentypence Road, Cottenham, Cambs. CB248SP. If any information contained here concerns you, please get in touch to clarify. For the purposes of this policy, any reference to ‘I’ or “me” is to The Cambridge Property Doctor.

What information I hold about

The only information I collect about you on this website is your email address when you complete my contact form.

How I use your data

I will use your email only to reply to any enquiry you make.

Who I may share your data with

I do not share your email with anyone. (I might have to share with the police etc, but this seems rather unlikely! 🙂 )

Keeping your data secure

Any information you provide (email address) may be stored on the secure servers that host my website and also I may create a record on my mobile phone with your email address. (However, the internet is not entirely secure so I can’t guarantee the security of any data passing over the internet.)

Promotional communications

I don’t engage in promotions of my services using any information you may send me.
 

Reasons I collect and use your personal information

In accordance with data protection laws I are required to have a specified lawful basis for processing any personal information collected. I process personal information about you for the purposes set out in this policy which are necessary in order to meet my legitimate business interests including developing and enhancing the services that I offer; detecting and preventing fraud; maintaining the security and integrity of my services; detecting and fixing errors. I may also be required to process some information about you to comply with my legal obligations. 

Transfer of data out of the EEA

The information that I collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”), however, I don’t actively transfer data out of the EEA.

I may store your email address (and other data subsequently provided by you to me such as address and contact phone number) on my mobile phone which uploads the data to the Apple iCloud servers, these may well be outside the EEA. (I am sure that these systems meet all necessary security obligations)

I use all the provided security tools on my mobile phone to keep yours and my own data secure.

 
These destinations may not have the same legal protections for personal data as you enjoy under English law. I will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy statement and data protection legislation. 
 

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to personal data that I may process about you. If you wish to exercise this right, you should:

• include proof of your identity and address (eg a copy of your driving licence or passport, and a recent utility or credit card bill); and 
• specify the personal data you want access to, including any account or reference numbers where applicable. 

 
You have the right to require me to correct any inaccuracies in your data free of charge. If you wish to exercise this right, you should:

• provide me with enough information to identify you; and 
• specify the information that is incorrect and what it should be replaced with. 

 
In certain circumstances you have the right to require me to erase personal data that I may hold about you. If you wish to exercise this right, you should:

Cookies

I use Google Analytics (“GA”) to monitor the profile of users landing on my website (typically this is data such as country of origin, IP address, pages accessed and time spent on my website.) GA automatically creates two cookies in order to provide me with this information. These are considered “Essential Cookies”.

I do not implement any other cookies.

Retention of data

Most of the data you provide to me will be kept for a period of up to 2 years following your last interaction with me, however, some of your data may be retained for a period of up to 7 years from the date of your last interaction with me in line with accounting obligations.
